I propose

Eumetula brattegardi

nomen novum (LSID: http:// zoobank.org/ 1 F156BD 2-3847-44F5-A3E1-4AB9EF359AAC) as the new name. The species is named after Dr. Torleiv Brattegard of the University of Bergen, who collected the material from the Norwegian Sea in which the species was found. I follow Bouchet & Rocroi (2005) in transferring the genus to the family Newtoniellidae from Cerithiopsidae .
