Published data: Smith & Virkki (1978). The size of the autosomes is less regularly decreasing, which may be due to the amplification of heterochromatin, very abundant and unevenly distributed in centro - meric regions. All are meta/sub-metacentric. The sub-metacentric X is also enlarged by heterochromatin. The Y remains punctiform. NOR location: X chromosome.
