Type genus. Ommatidiotus Spinola, 1839 , by original designation.

Description. Body from small to large, 3.5–16.5 mm typically. Forewing rather long and narrow, beyond the end of the abdominal segment, parallel-sided; veins distinct, claval suture present. Hindwing hyaline, longer than half length of forewing, veins distinct. A few species with short-winged hindwing, such as short-winged, the first tarsus of the hindleg has 2 lateral spines and multiple middle spines; long-winged hindwing usually has only 2 lateral spines at the apex of the first tarsus of the hindleg or no spines. Legs normal, a few species fore femora and tibia foliately dilated; hind tibia with single lateral spine medially. Aedeagus developed, phallobase weakened.

Note. In this paper, three tribes, 13 genera and 27 species are recorded, included a new species was identified, and two genera and a species were recorded from China for the first time.
