Type species. Annamatissus tami Gnezdilov & Soulier-Perkins, 2014 View in CoL , by original designation.

Diagnosis. Male: Vertex broad transversely, with disc slightly depress, anterior margin slightly concave, posterior margin straight. Ocelli present. Frons wide, intumescent, with two rows of weakly visible tubercules on each side along its lateral margins and sublateral carinae: near lateral margins with three tubercules and near sublateral carinae with four tubercules. Frontoclypeal suture distinct. Clypeus median carina distinct. Rostrum reaching posterior trochanters. Pronotum flat, without carinae, length in median line shorter than mesonotum (0.5:1). Mesonotum flat, with lateral carinae. Forewings rather short and broad, reaching third abdominal segment, veins obscure. Hindwing absent. Fore femora and tibia slightly dilated. Hind tibiae with one spine at middle.

Female: Frons wide, apex margin with very weak and short sublateral carinae, with two rows of weakly visible tubercules on each side along its lateral margins and sublateral carinae: near lateral margins with five to six tubercules and near sublateral carinae with four tubercules. Clypeus median carina distinct. Forewings reaching third abdominal segment, only one longitudinal vein visible. Fore femora and tibia slightly dilated.

Host plant. Bamboo.

Distribution. Southwestern China (Yunnan Province).

Note. The genus was originally described from Vietnam and it is a new record from China.
