Supplementary description. Measurements. Body length (from apex of vertex to tip of abdomen): female 8.1 mm (N=1); forewing length: female 2.2 mm (N=1).

Female genitalia. Anal segment in dorsal view nearly oval, with length 1.7 times longer in middle line than widest part, narrowing apically, apical margin roundly convex; anal pore located at middle; in lateral view small, the base half broad, narrowing apically. Abdominal sternite VII in ventral view with width 3 times as long as length, posterior margin slightly convex, behind the posterior margin with two small mushroom-shaped ossification flakes. Gonapophysis VIII elongate, with three spines at apical margin. Gonapophysis IX with two symmetrical lobes, each lobe nearly rectangle with many spines at dorsal margin, with a strong hill-like protrusion near the base, ventral margin slightly concave. Gonoplac with outer surface shagreen; in lateral view broad, nearly triangle, dorsal margin with a concave middle.

Material examined. 1♀, China: Hubei Province, Dabieshan , 2012-VII-18, Jian-Kun Long .

Host plant. Unkown.

Distribution. China (Hubei, Zhejiang, Hunan Provinces).

Remarks. Caliscelis orientalis Ouchi, 1940 differs from other species of genus Caliscelis by the following characteristics: 1) male forewing without longitudinal bands, abdomen with light-colored longitudinal band in the middle; 2) fore femora and tibia slightly flattened, spinal formula of hind leg 7–2–2; 3) female: anal segment in dorsal view nearly oval, with length longer in middle line than widest part, narrowing apically, apical margin roundly convex.
