Supplementary description. Measurements. Body length (from apex of vertex to tip of abdomen): female 4.2–4.5 mm (N = 3); forewing length: female 1.5–1.8 mm.

Female genitalia. Anal segment in dorsal view with length 2 times longer in middle line than widest part, apex narrowed; anal pore located middle; in lateral view small, apical narrowing. Abdominal sternite VII in ventral view with width 3.5 times as long as length, posterior margin concave, with two slightly convex in the middle. Gonapophysis VIII elongate, with six spines at apical margin. Gonapophysis IX with two symmetrical lobes, each lobe nearly rectangle with many spines at dorsal margin, ventral margin slightly concave. Gonoplac with outer surface shagreen; in lateral view broad, nearly triangle, dorsal margin with a concave middle.

Host Plant. Bamboo [ Chimonobambusa communis (Hsueh et Yi) K. M. Lan ].

Distribution. China (Guizhou Province).

Type Material. 2♂♂ 1♀, China: Guizhou Province: Daozhen: Dashahe Natural Reserve , 1600 m, 2004-V-31, Xiang-Sheng Chen ; 2♂♂ 3♀♀, China: Guizhou Province: Daozhen: Dashahe Natural Reserve , 2016-VII-17, Nian Gong .

Remarks. B. dentis Chen & Zhang, 2011 differs from other species of genus Bambusicaliscelis by the following characteristics: 1) aedeagus each with 2–3 teeth at ventral margin medially; 2) pygofer in lateral view with posterior margin roundly concave in the middle; in posterior view two lateral margins subparallel, posterior margin without any medioventral process; 3) anal segment short, in lateral view posterior margin nearly straight, ventral margin slightly concave, in dorsal view long oval, two lateral margins slightly wider at one third from base.
