Cylindratus Meng, Qin & Wang, 2020
Cylindratus Zhang et al., 2020: 122 ; Gnezdilov, 2021a: 531.
Type species. Cylindratus longicephalus Meng, Qin & Wang, 2020 , by original designation.
Description. Body from small to medium, 5–6 mm typically, cylindrical. Vertex with anterior margin strongly protruding beyond the eyes, narrowing apically, longer in middle line than broad at base, median carina distinct; anterior margin roundly convex, lateral margins of the base half nearly parallel. Frons with length in midline distinctly longer than maximum width, 3-carinate, sublateral carinae apical half complete and basal half degenerated; frons with two rows of weakly visible tubercules on each side along its lateral margins and sublateral carinae; in lateral view, the angle between frons and vertex is acute. Clypeus with median carina distinct. Rostrum long, reaching mesotrochanters. Pronotum shorter in middle line than vertex (1:2.3), with anterior margin slightly convex, posterior margin straight, median carina weak, lateral areas with several weakly visible tubercules. Mesonotum nearly triangular, longer in middle line than pronotum, 3-carinate, median carina weak. Forewings rather short and broad, reaching third abdominal segment, veins obscure. Hind tibiae each with one spine after middle. Spinal formula of hind leg 6-3-2.
Male genitalia. Anal segment short, in dorsal view shorter in middle line than widest part, basal margin straight, apical margin rounded. Pygofer in profile with ventral margin strongly oblique, posterior margin concave in the middle. Genital style broad, large, a strong spine-like process arising from dorsal margin apically, directed dorsad, slightly curved, tapering apically. Aedeagus short, tubular.
Female genitalia. Anal segment short, basal margin straight, apical margin rounded. Abdominal sternite VII in ventral view with posterior margin sinuate. Gonapophysis VIII (first valvula) elongate, with six spines at apical margin. Gonapophysis IX (second valvula) with two symmetrical lobes, each lobe with many spines at dorsal margin. Gonoplac (third valvula) quadrilateral.
Host plant. Bamboo.
Distribution. China (Guizhou Province).
