Cixius testaceus Walker, 1851 , new synonym ( Fig. 33 ).

Remarks. Cixius testaceus was described by Walker (1851) from an unknown locality. The type specimen ( Fig. 33 , a female in the BMNH) closely resembles boldly-marked females of Cilidius vicarius comb. nov. Both species were described in the same paper, with the description of Cilidius vicarius comb. nov. (as Cixius vicarius ) directly preceding that of Cixius testaceus . Cixius testaceus was transferred to Oliarus by Distant (1907: 281). The specimen and description are completely lacking in locality information. Based on the distinctive habitus of the species, we designate Cixius testaceus a new junior synonym of Cilidius vicarius comb. nov. While we cannot verify using male terminalia, there are sufficient similarities supporting the designation of this synonymy (including body size, the shape of the frons bearing relatively obscure maculae, hind leg spinulation, body and wing coloration, wing venation, the prominent tubercles of the wing veins and the presence of tubercles on the CuP vein).
