Taxonomic notes. Described originally as a species of Scolioplanes ( Protoplanes) View in CoL , it was assigned to Strigamia View in CoL by Dobroruka (1977), though misspelled as “ Strigamia caucasica ”. It was almost ignored in the literature, but its validity was never questioned.
Distribution: known from a single locality in the western Caucasus.
