Material examined. Turkey: Konstantinopel, Süsse Wasser (eur) [İstanbul, European part, Tatlısu], Juni 1914, 1 male (Neotype, here designated), 4 males, 2 females (leg. W. Ramme) ( MfN). Europ . Türkei, Kütschük Tschekmekje [Küçükçekmece], 1911, 1 male (paratype of P. miramae ) (Leg. Fahringer) ( MfN) .

Remarks. This species was collected from Büyükdere on the Bosphorus, located on the European side of İstanbul ( Retowski 1889). The original type specimens for this species are probably lost (pers. Commun. A.V. Gorochov, ZIN, St. Petersburg) (see also P. similis above). It is necessary to designate a type specimen that accurately represents the true P. bidens . Therefore, a neotype is designated from the specimens collected from the European side of İstanbul.

A male paratype of P. miramae belongs to this species.

This species is most similar to recently described P. roseoviridis Chobanov et Kaya, 2012 . However, it was not compared to others in the description. A series of specimens was recorded as P. bidens from Kırklareli Province, where the Bulgarian border of Turkey, by Ünal (2010: 158), which record was not mentioned by Kaya et al. (2012: 19). It seems that P. roseoviridis is a population of this species.
