Material examined. TURKEY: [İzmir Prov.], Ephesus [Efes], 1 male (Nr. 5925) (Lectotype, here designated) (leg. et det. Br. v.W.); Smyrna, Kis. avle, 1 female (Nr. 8149) (leg. et det. Br. v.W.); Greece: Rhodos, 1 male (Nr. 6494) (leg. Erber) (det. Br. v.W.) ( NMW) .
Remarks. Brunner (1878: 40, 41) described this species based on 3 syntypes collected from 3 locations, Ephesus, Smyrna ( Turkey), and Rhodos ( Greece). The type specimens are syntypes. The male from Ephesus is here designated as lectotype to fix its sex and type locality.
