Isophya pavelii Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878 View in CoL
Material examined. TURKEY: [İstanbul], Bosphorus, Iasmabug [probably Ayazma], 1 male (Nr. 5883) (Lectotype, here designated) (leg. et det. Br.V.W.), 1 female with the same label data; [İstanbul], Therapia [Tarabya], 1 female (Nr. 5877) (leg. et det. Br.V.W.); [İstanbul], Gioksu [Göksu, Asian side of Bosphorus], 1 female (not a type) ( NMW) .
Remarks. Brunner (1878: 62, 63) described this species based on 3 specimens with the following specimen numbers: 5877, 5883, 5890 (1 male and 2 females) in the original description. Ramme (1951: 163) gave 1 male from Therapia (İstanbul) as “typus”. However, this male is not one of the 3 syntypes. Because the only male in the syntypes was not found in Therapia. The male (from Therapia) given by Ramme has not been found in the collections of MfN and NMW. Since there is more than one syntype of both sexes (for the reason explained in the Introduction and Material and Methods sections) from 2 locations, the name-bearing type is needed for this species. The only male of the syntypes from İstanbul, Bosphorus, Iasmabug [probably Ayazma] (European side of Bosphorus) is designated here as the lectotype.
