Remarks. Brunner (1882: 338) described this species based on specimens collected from three locations. Karabağ (1950: 281–282) designated a male from Ephesus [Efes, İzmir Prov.] as lectotype and described the Külek [Gülek Boğazı, Adana Prov.] population as a new species, B. convergens , in the same paper ( Karabağ 1950: 280) (see next species).

Sufficient illustrations of this species were supplied by Ünal ( Figs. 59, 63, 64, 69, 71 View FIGURES 55–81. 55–64 of 2018) to compare the illustrations of the following two species given in the present paper.
