Diagnosis. This species can be separated from other members of acerbus group by the following combination: superior volsella with a rounded apical extension, digitus well developed, median volsella reaching apex of superior volsella but not inferior volsella, gonostylus abruptly tapered and curved apically ( Wang & Zheng, 1993; Wang & Guo, 2004).
Distribution. China (Guangdong, Taiwan), India, Indonesia.
