Discussion. Russini et al. (2023) treated Muricopsinae Radwin & D’Attilio, 1971 and Aspellinae Keen, 1971 as synonyms, and used Muricopsinae as the valid name. However, Aspellinae (published January 1971) has precedence over Muricopsinae (published December 1971) (MolluscaBase Eds. 2024a).
