Type material. Holotype: HNHM PAL 2024.9.1., SL: 10.0 mm, MD: 6.6 mm., Letkés ( Hungary), illustrated in Kovács & Vicián (2024: figs. 43–44), figs. 47B 1 –B 2.

Description. See Kovács & Vicián (2024: 20). Penultimate whorl, prominent IP, P1–P2. Last whorl: on subsutural ramp IP prominent, adis, abis weaker and several tertiary threads; on convex part of whorl, P1–P6 prominent, s1–s6 weaker, one weak tertiary cord intercalated between primary and secondary cords; on siphonal canal ADP, MP, ABP prominent, s6 and ads weaker.

Discussion. For separation from the Chattian and Early Miocene Galeropsis lavenayana Hupé, 1860 and the extant Galeropsis monodonta (de Blainville, 1832) see Kovács & Vicián (2024: 20). Galeropsis lavenayana was discussed by Lozouet & Renard (1998: 181, figs. 7/6–9, 8/1–6) and Lozouet (2023: 50, pl. 47, figs. 7–8).

Paleoenvironment. The occurrence at the locality Letkés ( Hungary) suggests inner neritic environments with corals ( Kovács & Vicián 2014).

Distribution in Central Paratethys. Badenian (Middle Miocene): Pannonian Basin: Letkés ( Hungary) Kovács

& Vicián (2024).

Genus Leptoconchus Rüppell, 1835

Type species. Leptoconchus striatus Rüppell, 1835 [= Leptoconchus peronii ( Lamarck, 1818) ]; by subsequent monotypy. Present-day, Indo-West Pacific.
