T. compitale Note:—There is a taxon close to T. sect. Ceratoidea Kirschner & Štěpánek (2008: 63), 56. T. pseudoceratoides , having features pointing to T. sect. Borealia (e.g., outer phyllaries). It is a taxon with yellow or nearly yellow stigmas, usually numerous outer phyllaries and a cone 0.7–0.8 mm long. It is distinct in its greyish green to glaucous-green colour, unstriped outer ligules, achenes densely, conspicuously squamulose, and narrowly winged petioles, and in the present key its characters lead it to the vicinity of T. compitale . It is treated on p. 130–133.
