Remarks Te otoliths are rounded and semi-square in shape with equal dorsal and ventral areas. Among our specimens, their outline closely resembles the otoliths of Lampanyctus alatus as depicted by Smale et al., (1995: pl. 22, fig. D) and Rivaton and Bourret (1999: pl. 120, Fig. 1–7 View Fig View Fig View Fig View Fig View Fig View Fig View Fig ).
