Remarks Te small to medium-sized otoliths of Coelorinchus display similar outline to those of Coelorinchus formosanus Okamura, 1963 , characterized by having a notable elevation in the anterior part of the dorsal rim

( Fig. 10a–e View Fig ). However, it is important to note that other closely related Coelorinchus species exist. Terefore, when it comes to species identification based on juvenile or subadult individuals, we adopt a conservative approach.
