Cyrtandra debilis Kraenzl., Repert. View in CoL Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 24: 219 (1928); Burtt, Edinburgh J. Bot. 47: 211 (1990). – Type: INDONESIA. South Kalimantan, zwischen M. Uja und Kundim Baru , 6 vii 1908, Hubert Winkler 2678 (lectotype WRSL, designated by Burtt, Edinburgh J. Bot. 47: 211 (1990)) .

Distribution. Kalimantan ( Kraenzlin, 1928; Burtt, 1990b).

Notes. Lauterbach (1910) cited three Hubert Winkler collections (Winkler 2678, 2831 and 3213) under ‘ Cyrtandra? radiciflora C.B.Clarke’ in his account of the flora and plant geography of Borneo. Kraenzlin (1928) later listed the same three collections as syntypes of Cyrtandra debilis . Burtt (1990) selected Winkler 2678 as the lectotype of C. debilis as this is the only specimen of the original set that he was able to locate in Lauterbach’s herbarium. There is also a note on the lectotype in WRSL stating ‘= C. basiflora ’ by O.Hilliard in 2003. This name may therefore need to be synonymised in the future as part of a full taxonomic revision.
