44 (2003). – Type: MALAYSIA. Sarawak, Kuteing [Kuching], vii 1865, Beccari PB 153 (lectotype FI [ FI013170 ], designated by Burtt, Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 30: 35 (1970); isolectotypes G-DC [G00493833], K [K000831514], P [ P00258309 ]) .

Distribution. Sarawak ( Clarke, 1883; Burtt, 1970; Hilliard et al., 2003); Brunei ( Burtt, 1997).

Notes. This species was lectotypified by Burtt (1970), and additional specimens were cited with brief morphological notes. Additional information was also provided by Hilliard et al. (2003), who placed it in the new section Pleuroschisma . The specimens listed under this species from Mount Kinabalu in Beaman et al. (2001) are now considered Cyrtandra coacta ( Hilliard et al., 2003) . The specimens listed as being Cyrtandra sarawakensis in the checklist of Brunei ( Burtt, 1997) are not cited in Hilliard et al. (2003), so the presence of the species in Brunei needs to be confirmed.

Distribution. Sarawak ( Hilliard et al., 2003).

Distribution. Sarawak ( Clarke, 1883; Burtt, 1970; Hilliard & Burtt, 2005a).

Notes. Burtt (1970) lectotypified this species and provided brief notes on the morphology. Hilliard & Burtt (2005a) provided a key to the group of species allied morphologically to this species, and an updated description.
