Borneo [Central Kalimantan] Zwischen Semurung und Sungai Tarik , 18 vii 1908, Hubert Winkler 3026 (lectotype WRSL n.v., designated by Hilliard & Burtt, Edinburgh J. Bot. 61: 174 (2005); isolectotypes BM [ BM000759836 ], BO [BO-1257710], K [K000831588], L [L0350471]) .

Distribution. Kalimantan ( Lauterbach, 1910); Brunei ( Burtt, 1997); Kalimantan, Sarawak ( Hilliard & Burtt, 2005b).

Notes. A lectotype for this name was chosen by Hilliard & Burtt (2005b) from the two collections originally cited by Lauterbach (1910), Winkler 3026 and 2860, and they also provided an updated description. The Winkler 3026 specimen from WRSL cited by Hilliard and Burtt (2005b) as the lectotype has not been seen by the authors of this paper, nor have they seen the photocopy in the E herbarium cited. Presumably, they had seen both collections. If Winkler 3026 cannot be located in the future, it may be desirable to designate Winkler 2860 as lectotype; this specimen is at WRSL, with a photograph at E, and the sheet has Lauterbach’s handwriting on the label.

The specimens listed under Cyrtandra phoenicolasia from Mount Kinabalu in Beaman et al. (2001) are now considered C. latibracteata ( Hilliard & Burtt, 2005b) . The distribution of this species given in Hilliard & Burtt (2005b) does not include Brunei, so its presence there needs to be confirmed.
