Diagnoses. Nymphs: 1) body length of mature nymphs above 10.0 mm; 2) distal margin of clypeus irregular, but not forming a projection; 3) tarsal claw with submarginal denticles present; 4) pointed projection on gills absent; 5) posterolateral projections present on segments VII to IX, often strong and divergent from the body.

Male imago: 1) body length above 10.0 mm; 2) abdominal color pattern contrasting (segments I and VII to X darker, II to VI translucent white); 3) pointed posteromedial projection of styliger plate short and not curved; 4) telopenis base located at apical 2/3 of penis lobe; 5) telopenis well developed and sclerotized, apex expanded and crossing medially.

Female imago: 1) body length above 10.0 mm; 2) oblique lateral dark marks on terga II to V and paired longitudinal stripes on sterna VII and VIII.

Distribution. BRAZIL (Roraima) and VENEZUELA.

Comments. Paramaka incognita is the largest species of the genus, with a body length of adults and mature nymphs above 10.0 mm. It is also very conspicuous due to its overall dark coloration on the thorax and abdominal color pattern ( Fig. 6B View FIGURE 6 ). Nymphs are also easily distinguished by the presence and development of the posterolateral projections on the abdomen. While in the other species these projections are present only on segments VIII and IX, being even poorly developed on segment VIII, in P. incognita they are also present on segment VII and are strongly developed on all three segments. The labrum is often very wide, and the labrum/clypeus ratio appears to be distinctive (2.2 in some specimens) ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3 ). However, we found some variation among nymphs from the same locality, so this characteristic should be used with caution.
