Diagnosis: Stenopsyche himalayana belongs to the S. martynovi Group and is related to S. marynovi Banks ,
1940. The body of tergum X is very long, narrow and ending in three lobes and the intermediate projections of
Pandher et al. X are large and tapering towards apex in S. himalayana whereas, in S. martynovi body of tergum X ends in two slender lobes and irregular shape; the intermediate projections of X are small and inserted beyond the middle of the length of the segment.
Distribution in India: Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya.
Elsewhere: China (Sichuan, Yunnan); Afghanistan; Pakistan; Laos; Vietnam; Nepal.
