Material Examined: India: Arunachal Pradesh, Upper Siang, Dihang-Dibang Biosphere Reserve, 19. ii.2024, 28°37’57.0”N, 95°01’39.0”E, 385 m, 1♂, 4♀, Coll. T. Kubendran, (HARC, ZSI Solan), Reg. No. HARC/I-10387. Diagnosis: Stenopsyche griseipennis McLachlan belongs to the S. marmorata group and is allied to S. haimvatika Schmid, 1969 and S. marmorata Navás, 1920 . In S. griseipennis spines are scattered all over phallotheca and a bunch of slender, hair-like spines at its base occurs in endotheca whereas, in S. haimvatika phalotheca is with dark, thick and backwardly directed spines basally in its ventral half and in S. marmorata as illustrated by Schmid, 1969, phallotheca is with slender, dense spines apically on its lateral side and thick, scattered, backwardly directed spines ventrolaterally.

Distribution in India: Sikkim, West Bengal, Assam, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Manipur, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh.

Elsewhere: China (Sichuan), Nepal, Russia, Korea.
