Diagnosis: Stenopsyche dirghajihvi belongs to the S. apiguna Group and is allied to S. apiguna Schmid, 1969 . In S. apiguna , the body of tergum X is sub-quadrangular and forms three pairs of fins on the margins. However, in S. dirghajihvi middle lobe constituting the body of tergum X is barely indicated, and apex forms a large triangular tongue, the two radial lobes are small and simple.
Distribution in India: Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh.
Elsewhere: China (Shanxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Xizang), Nepal .
