Diagnosis: Stenopsyche haimvatika belongs to the S.

Pandher et al. marmorata Group and is related to S. griseipennis McLachlan, 1866 and S. marmorata Navás. S. haimvatika has phallotheca with, backwardly directed thick, dark spines basally in its ventral half and the phallotheca of S. marmorata has thick, scattered, backwardly directed spines ventrolaterally and dense, slender, spines apically on its lateral side as illustrated by Schmid, 1969 whereas, in S. griseipennis spines scattered all over the phallotheca and a bunch of slender, hair-like spines at its base in endotheca.

Distribution in India: Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh.

Elsewhere: China (Hubel, Jiangxi, Yunnan), Nepal.
