Habitat:—This species occurs on the edges of the Araucaria Forest , at an elevation of 900–940 m a.s.l.
Geographic distribution:— Araucária : L. Camargo s.n. (UPCB!). Curitiba: G. Hatschbach 24919 (MBM!). Itaperuçu: P. Dusén 7073 (S). Tijucas do Sul: A. Nuernberg et al. 1800 (FLOR).
Number of gatherings:—7. Most recent record:—2016.
Preliminary conservation status:—Endangered (EN – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 42.15 km 2 and AOO = 12 km 2.
