Habitat:—Subtropical Highland Grasslands, growing on basaltic rocky outcrops at an elevation of 740–1034 m a.s.l. Geographic distribution:—Candói: J.R. Ferraz 807 (FUEL!). Foz do Jordão: J.R. Ferraz 841 (FUEL!). Guarapuava: A.C. Cervi et al. 3018 (MBM!).

Preliminary conservation status:—Endangered (EN – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 768.431 km 2 and AOO = 44 km 2.
