Life form:—Shrub to small Tree.

Habitat:—Cloud Forest, growing in the mountain ranges of Ibitiraquire, Capivari and Marumbi on granitic rocky outcrops. The elevation records range from 1385 to 1800 m a.s.l.

Geographic distribution:—Antonina: O.S. Ribas & V.A. Ditrich 2188 (MBM!). Campina Grande do Sul: J.M. Silva et al. 2047B (MBM!). Morretes: R.S. Vieira 762 (EFC).

Number of gatherings:—22. Most recent record:—2016.

Preliminary conservation status:—Endangered (EN – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 107.212 km 2 and AOO = 24 km 2. Conservation unit:—Pico Paraná State Park.
