Habitat:—This species grows on sandstone outcrops in edges of Araucaria Forest (990–1035 m a.s.l).

Geographic distribution:—Ponta Grossa: O.S. Ribas 8236 (MBM!).

Number of gatherings:—5. Most recent record:—2013.

Preliminary conservation status:—Critically endangered (CR – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 0,058 km 2 and AOO = 8 km 2.

Conservation unit:—Campos Gerais National Park.
