Life form:—Herb. Habitat:—The species occurs in the Cloud Forest and High Altitude Tropical Grasslands, growing in the Serra Ibitiraquire range and Serra Marumbi range, at an elevation of 1474–1800 m a.s.l.

Geographic distribution:— Campina Grande do Sul: G. Hatschbach 23400 (MBM!). Morretes: G. Hatschbach 1739 (MBM!).

Number of gatherings:—7. Most recent record:—2018.

Preliminary conservation status:—Endangered (EN – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 363.695 km 2 and AOO = 12 km 2.
