Habitat:—Cerrado and Subtropical Highland Grasslands, growing on sandstone outcrops and between quartzite rocks, at an elevation of 980–1070 m a.s.l.
Geographic distribution:—Lapa: G. Hatschbach 1032 (MBM!). Itaperuçu: M.L. Brotto & S. Lubow 3868 (MBM!). Jaguariaíva: E. Barboza et al. 1733 (MBM!).
Number of gatherings:—6. Most recent record:—2020.
Preliminary conservation status:—Critically endangered (CR – B2ab[ii,iii]). AOO = 8 km 2.
