Habitat:—Subtropical Highland Grasslands, growing in crevices of basaltic rocky outcrops.
Geographic distribution:—Guarapuava: G. Hatschbach 11186 (MBM!). Laranjeiras do Sul: G. Hatschbach 18374 (FUEL!).
Number of gatherings:—2. Most recent record:—1968.
Preliminary conservation status:—Critically endangered (CR – B2ab[ii,iii]). AOO = 8 km 2.
