Habitat:—This species grows in marshes associated with Araucaria Forest , at an elevation of 787–1108 m a.s.l. Geographic distribution:—Cantagalo: A. Krapovickas & C.L. Cristóbal 39585 (MBM!). Cruz Machado: J.M. Silva & C.A. Andrade 7040 (MBM!). Mangueirinha: J.M. Silva et al. 9600 (MBM!). Paulo Frontin: R. Wasum et al. 3190 (MBM!). União da Vitória: A. Krapovickas & C.L. Cristóbal 39594 (MBM!).
