Life form:—Tree.
Habitat:—This species occurs predominantly in the Alluvial Seasonal Semideciduous Forest of the Floriano River (tributary of Iguaçu River) and Lageado Liso river (tributary of Tibagi River), being less common in the transition area between Seasonal Semideciduous Forest and the Araucaria Forest. The elevation records range from 212 to 707 m a.s.l. Geographic distribution:—Céu Azul: O.S. Ribas et al. 6079 (MBM!). Curiúva: L.H. Soares-Silva et al. 570 (FUEL!). Foz do Iguaçu: J. Lindeman & H. Haas 343 2 (MBM!). Medianeira: J. Lindeman & H. Haas 3544 (MBM!). Sapopema: L.H. Soares-Silva 563 (FUEL!).

Preliminary conservation status:—Endangered (EN – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 430.938 km 2 and AOO = 16 km 2.
