Life form:—Shrub.

Habitat:—Cerrado and Subtropical Highland Grasslands, growing in well-drained dry grasslands, riparian forest of the Jaguariaíva river, sandstone banks of the São João river, and on the slopes of the Guartelá canyon. The elevation records range from 740 to 1122 m a.s.l.
