Habitat:—Subtropical Highland Grasslands, growing in sand soil at an elevation of 794–950 m a.s.l. Geographic distribution:—Palmeira: O.S. Ribas & L.B.S. Pereira 1881 (MBM!). Ponta Grossa: L.T. Dombrowski 6319 (MBM!).

Number of gatherings:—9. Most recent record:—2014.

Preliminary conservation status:—Endangered (EN – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 177.531 km 2 and AOO = 20 km 2.

Conservation unit:—Vila Velha State Park.
