Life form:—Climber.
Habitat:—The species was collected in the glades of the Submontane Atlantic Forest (300–870 m a.s.l.), and in the Cloud Forest of the Capivari mountain range (1574 m a.s.l.).
Geographic distribution:— Campina Grande do Sul: G. Hatschbach 20325 (MBM!). Cerro Azul: G. Hatschbach 6399 (MBM!). Paranaguá: G. Hatschbach 23334 (MBM!).
Number of gatherings:—3. Most recent record:—1970.
Preliminary conservation status:—Endangered (EN – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 435.916 km 2, AOO = 12 km 2.
