Habitat:—Alluvial Araucaria Forest , growing in the crevices along the rocky riverside of the Capivari River (800–880 m a.s.l).
Geographic distribution:—Bocaiúva do Sul: G. Hatschbach 23451 (MBM!). Curitiba: G. Hatschbach 28465 (MBM!). Number of gatherings:—6. Most recent record:—1989.
Preliminary conservation status:—Critically endangered (CR – B2ab[ii,iii]). AOO = 8 km 2.
