Life form:—Subshrub.
Habitat:—Alluvial Seasonal Semideciduous Forest, growing on basaltic rocks bordering the Iguaçu River (140 to 320 m a.s.l.).
Geographic distribution:—Foz do Iguaçu: E.L. Siqueira 2449 (FURB). Laranjeiras do Sul: G. Hatschbach 19805 (MBM!). Rio Bonito do Iguaçu: C.B. Poliquesi 270 (MBM!).
Number of gatherings:—4. Most recent record:—2019.
Preliminary conservation status:—Endangered (EN – B1ab[i,ii,iii]+B2ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 687.323 km 2 and AOO = 16 km 2.
Conservation unit:—Iguacu National Park.
