Life form:—Herb.
Habitat:—Subtropical Highland Grasslands, growing on basaltic rocky outcrops near the edges of the Submontane Araucaria Forest , at an elevation of 780–960 m a.s.l.
Geographic distribution:—Candói: J.R. Ferraz 697 (FUEL!). Cantagalo: G. Hatschbach & A.C. Cervi 49815 (MBM!). Guarapuava: G. Hatschbach 24139 (MBM!).
Number of gatherings:—6. Most recent record:—2019.
Preliminary conservation status:—Critically endangered (CR – B1ab[i,ii,iii]). EOO = 34.238 km 2 and AOO = 16 km 2.
