Distribution. India: Himachal Pradesh (Kullu, Shimla) (Cotes & Swinhoe 1887). Global: Bangladesh, Indonesia ( Java, Sulawesi), Malaysia (Borneo), Myanmar, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand ( Kononenko & Pinratana 2013). Remark: Subspecies, M. e. hiraii Yoshimatsu, 1995 is known from Philippines.
