TL: Godavari ( Nepal)
Distribution. India: Uttarakhand (Bhimtal) (Behounek & Kononenko 2012). Global: Nepal, Thailand (?) (Haruta 1993, Kononenko & Pinratana 2013).
Remarks: The species was originally described as a subspecies of A. kala from Nepal (Haruta 1993). Kononenko & Pinratana (2013) discussed its probable distribution in North Thailand.

Type species: Anacronicta caliginea Butler, 1881: 185 , by subsequent designation by Hampson (1913): 339. = Anacronycta Bryk, 1941: 149 (An unjustified emendation of Anacronicta Warren, 1909 )
