16. Condicinae View in CoL are relatively small group that consists of genera and species with heterogenous external morphology ( Kononenko & Pinratana 2013). It was recognized as a subfamily with affinities to Acontiinae and some ‘unassociated genera’ of Apmphipyrinae by Lafontine & Fibiger (2006). However, Poole (1995) had already treated it as an early-branching subfamily due to the presence of three SV setae on the first abdominal segment of the larva. Condicinae are often smaller than other noctuids and their male genitalia have a highly developed pleural sclerite (pleurite).
