9. Pantheinae View in CoL lack a clear definition in terms of diagnostic morphological charaters since its description, and thus several genera have been removed or added. In general, Pantheinae are characterized by a scaled lower clypeofrons, diminished phragma lobes between the first and second abdominal tergites, dark and light rings on the tarsal segments of the legs, an especially strong flexure at the tornus and a sinuous pale fascia inside the darker border of the hindwing; the larvae have fully developed abdominal prolegs ( Holloway 1985, 2005, 2009).
