(1981) recorded this species as A. fasciellum (Zetterstedt 1855) from Biological notes: Wet habitats near lakes and rivers. Larvae the Afrotropical region (mangrove flowers in Gambia). phytophagous, feed gregariously in unsheathed inflorescences of Biological notes: Dry habitats and coastal salt marshes, in which it is Glyceria spp. the second abundant chloropid after Oscinimorpha albisetosa (Duda 1932) along an investigated German coast section along the North Sea ( Tschirnhaus 1981).
