Remarks: Recently, Pešić et al. (2023a) who molecularly studied the specimens from the hyporheic interstitial of the upper Neretva River basin in Bosnia and Herzegovina, revealed the presence of two genetically different clusters with the genetic distance between these two lineages estimated at 19.51% K2P, indicating the presence of undescribed cryptic species within the F. reticulatifrons complex.
