Distribution in Iran: East Azerbaijan ( Khaghaninia et al., 2012b).
General distribution: Central Europe and Turkey.
Remark: Specimens of Trichopsomyia collected in Iran, and initially thought to belong to T. lucida , proved to differ from T. lucida in several characters, so the presence of T. lucida in Iran is in doubt ( van Steenis et al., 2018).
