Identification source. Compared with a voucher specimen from Thailand ( Williams et al. 2019b) [THNHM].

Distribution. Malaysia. Thailand. Vietnam *: Thai Nguyen, Hanoi.

Occurrence in Vietnam. August, October, November. South China-Vietnam subtropical evergreen forests and Red River freshwater swamp forests ecoregions. Forest (open site).

Sex association. Male unknown.

Remarks. The specimens from Vietnam lack the serrate genal carina described by Pagden (1934a). However, the shape of the genal carina varies within a population ( Williams et al. 2019b). This species is potentially synonymous with Bi. sauteri ( Zavattari, 1913) from China and Taiwan ( Williams et al. 2019b).
